Oleksandr Chos, 1973.
On October 27, 2023, during military operations in the Donetsk region, as a result of mortar shelling in the area of Kurdyumivka settlement, he received a mine-explosive injury:
- Closed craniocerebral injury, concussion;
- Multiple gunshot shrapnel wounds to the face and neck;
- Multifragmentary fracture of the body of the lower jaw on the left, with a fragment of bone defect;
- Foreign bodies of bone and metal density in the area of the floor of the oral cavity and the root of the tongue;
- Foreign bodies of metallic density in the soft tissues of the neck on the right and in the cells of the left temporal bone;
- Traumatic neuropathy of the left radial nerve;
- Paresis of the left half of the larynx;
- Aquabarotrauma;
- Bilateral acute sensorineural deafness of the first degree;
- Shrapnel blind injury of the soft tissues of the left upper limb;
- Penetrating gunshot shrapnel blind wound to the left chest;
- Hemopneumothorax on the left;
- Shrapnel blind wound of the abdominal cavity (non-penetrating).
Oleksandr is a resident of Cherkasy. He has a special secondary education; by profession, he is a gas welder and an auto mechanic. He is a widower and the father of a daughter and a son.
Before the full-scale invasion, he worked at the “Cherkaske Pivo” plant. In April 2022, he went to the front as a volunteer in the infantry.
Task: pay the bill for the individualized patient-specific mandibular reconstructive metallo-osteosynthesis kit including fixation screws and 3D printing of the anatomical model of the jaw.
The amount of UAH 38 071.00 for the medical device was covered by the charitable organization MHP-Hromada. The bill has been paid.
