Roman Manko, 1984.
On October 29, 2024, while performing a combat mission in the Kursk region, Roman sustained a mine-explosive injury as a result of a UAV grenade drop:
- Multifragmentary fracture of the left zygomaticomaxillary complex;
- Fracture of the anterolateral walls of the left maxillary sinus;
- Fracture of the alveolar process of the upper jaw in the area of teeth 26-28;
- Multifragmentary fracture of the lower jaw on the left with displacement of fragments in the area of the corner, branch, coronal sprout, articular sprout.
Roman is 40 years old and comes from the village of Ostriv in the Kyiv region. He is the father of two daughters, and his pride in them is evident when he speaks about them. The older daughter is training to become a patrol police officer, while the younger one is a professional skier.
Before being drafted into the army, Roman worked as a delivery driver, transporting products to shops in the Kyiv region. In August 2024, he was drafted into the army and defended the Motherland as part of an airborne assault brigade.
Roman underwent surgery on November 15, 2024, under the guarantee of our foundation. The patient is recovering well. Fundraising efforts are ongoing.
Task: To pay the bill for an individualized patient-specific kit for reconstructive midface and mandibular metallo-osteosynthesis including fixation screws and 3D printing of the anatomical model.
