Volodymyr, despite his soft voice, has the character of a real strong-willed and courageous man. A patriot, an extremely kind person devoted to his family and Ukraine.
A native of Zakarpattia, he was the youngest of three children (with a brother and a sister).
When Volodymyr was in the 10th grade, his mother fell down the stairs and broke her pelvic bones. She was bedridden for more than a year, and the boy took care of her because the older children had long since left home.
He went to school in the morning and returned home for lunch, organizing all the household work and caring for his mother: cooking, cleaning, and most importantly, tending to her medical needs.
His mother started moving with a walker after a year and a half. She still walks with crutches but helps Volodya’s wife and supports the family. Volodya’s family (his wife, son born in 2017, and daughter born in 2020) lives with his mother, and he did not leave her alone.
Volodya did not have the opportunity to study at a college or university but continuously studied and worked diligently.
Career timeline:
- 2006-2013: Internet cafe administrator
- 2013-2015: Chief manager of a travel agency
- 2015-2018: Worked in Europe
- 2018-2023: Entrepreneurial activity, owned a construction crew
In March 2023, Volodymyr volunteered for the war. His wife and family found this decision extremely difficult but ultimately had to accept his choice. His decision was balanced and deliberate.
Now, despite severe injuries and numerous operations, the hero says he has never regretted his decision to voluntarily defend the Motherland. If he could live his life over again, he would make the same choice as in March 2023.
